Hi.
Welcome to my Projects page where you'll find a collection of
the projects I am working on or have recently completed.
It takes forever to download, but most folks say that it's worth the
wait.
Last updated: September 1, 2000
It's hopelessly outdated. My excuse is that...
I've been working on coachville.com
and graduateschoolofcoaching.com
since sept 2000.
Tap on a logo for
more information on that project
(although not all logos are linked...)
I've done most of the logos using
PhotoDeluxe, a very basic little graphics program, on my
PowerBook.
And some of the newer
ones are with Net Studio and PhotoDraw on my Sony PC.
The logos are really simple, but I like them and hope you do, too...
My biggest projects currently are:

CoachVille is a major project: the world's largest
coach-related portal.

I am teaching this course this fall and it's also
available in January 2001

A series of discussions on, well, the future of coaching!

A series of ezines on virtually every personal and
professional topic.

The official ezine of CoachVille.com; weekly

A course I am teaching

500 are done (thanks Karen). More to come.

NBC watch out!

A class I am teaching in 2001.

A class Dave Buck is teaching in 2001.
I've been really busy creating logos for
some
already-existing Coach U Programs,
as part of the upgrade of the Coaching Forms Book

And some new logos for existing Coach U TeleClasses, like:

And I'm finally releasing some programs I've been working on for
awhile, like:

And I've started working on new programs, like:

And some new certifications, like:

And some logos for new stuff in the Coaching Forms Book, like:

And I am working on these new services:

With the help of several coaching colleagues,
I'll eventually get around to this tape set...
and
Cool, huh?
And here are some photos for/from the
Joy of Coaching book (due out in November 2001).

It's a collection of 300 or so photos of coaches trained by Coach
U.
It's kind of clever.
About 100 photos are viewable
here. 120 more are taken but not
processed yet.
My latest book, Becoming a Coach, just came out.
It's available from
Coach U and soon
amazon.com

Simply Brilliant is now out as well.
Keep those presses rollin'!

Something quite clever that I'm putting together is called

Should be up by April 2001.
My geeky (that's a compliment) friends and programmers at Cicada
Consulting
set up something VERY cool that I call

It let's coaches create/personalize their own brochures and handouts
online!
I'm completing the compiling of the second edition of the
![]()
The online version should be available by November 30, 2000.
(It will be only available to coaches at Coach University.)
The first 9 months of 2000 were spent on the road on Coach University's

14,500 miles my RV in North America. 9 cities in Europe.
Details: www.coachingtour.com
I've started writing a non-coaching book (huh?) called
![]()
It's a printed book on all things RV, plus a matching website.
I did some research during my recent Western U.S. camping trip in the summer of
1999.
There are a couple of useful things already viewable the site.
I am also completing a book for any professional
wanting a full practice.
It's called

Hey, that's an idea!
I offered vision coaching during June and July 1999
in order to learn more about how to stretch clients.

Details are here.
(but the coaching is no longer available.)
Some other books I am working on (and off; mostly off!) right now include

Geez, that's a lot of books. Where's Guinness?
Another recent successful project was TeleSlim offered by
TeleClass.com,
which is a progressive weight-loss and self-care program.
Over 1,000 people registered for the May & June 1999 classes.
It's really cool.

TeleClass.com launched in January 1999.

It is now the world's largest listing of TeleClasses.
There are 150 instructors and 300 classes,
most of which are free.
I've been teaching classes such as:
Coach U acquired TeleClass.com from me in January 2000.
I also got the Create-a-Venn Diagram system up and running at
VennDiagram.com
You can create your own Venn Diagrams online and save/download the
.gif file and/or add it to our database for others to view. It's
fun.
The next biggie is called

Whew, lots of work.
Something coming up is:

In 1998, I did quite a lot of audiotaping which included a set
called

It's a taped collection of about 30 half-hour sessions with a
coach and their client,
with me offering in-the-ear coaching to the coach while they are
coaching their client.
Talk about just-in-time coaching!
It's a cool project and the tapes are available via
Coach
University.
I've got about more tape sets at Coach
University's online
bookstore.
I'll eventually get around to writing a book called

It contains checklists and other tools that coaches can fax or
send to their clients
in order for the client to work on stuff between coaching calls,
as needed.
I've got about 150 of the 300 pages done, and these
include:
101 Ways to Make a Point
101 Intimacy-Building Questions for Couples
101 Feelings (for diagnostic purposes)
101 Ways to Fill a Professional Practice
101 Elements of a Person
...and 96 more.
This book is really a challenge, so I'm taking it slowly.
I'm thinking of merging it with the Coaching Forms Book.
Another book that's about half completed is called

These are really cool.
I've organized the 1001 questions into 10 groups of 100
questions.
The book is especially useful for coaches and their
clients.
I recently completed a significant collection of tips, techniques
and customized versions of

It is viewable
here.
In the Spring of 1998, I was really busy conducting 250+
LazerCoaching sessions (15 minutes each).
These have been recorded and are available on audiotape from
Coach
University.
They are awesome, and a super training tool for coaches.

Related to that are the compilation of
and
In March 1998, I completed the manuscript for a book published by
Scribner called The Portable Coach,
with writer Byron Laursen. It is currently available at bookstores
in the US and Canada and via amazon.com.
Hey, people are buying the book! Too cool! (It reached 29 on
Amazon.com's hot sellers list.)
It's also available in Japanese, Chinese and Turkish
(with more intl version coming, they tell me).
There's an audio tape version as well.

There is another book of mine (1998) that is
selling pretty well (15,000 copies so far),
called Working Wisdom.

You can order it from amazon.com
or barnesandnoble.com,
or pick it up at Waldenbooks, Office Depot or
B.Dalton.
A very exciting project I developed is called the Attraction OS
via Attraction U.
It's worth a visit to the website. Just click on the above animated gif.
I was a weekly columnist for
![]()
(London) for a while, but the weekly column is now being written
by another coach from Coach University.
It was an honor to write it, but I'm not one for a weekly
deadline. But it was fun and boy did my ego get big!
And, I'm about 50 chapters into my upcoming
book called
.
In the Fall of 1997, I led a 13-week training for 275 coaches called

which was also extremely well received.
In 1997, I helped to set up the very popular:

The CRS generates about $1 million per year in new coaching
revenue
for students and graduates of Coach University.
I also helped to design the new
In 1996, I sold my small Internet Presence
Provider Service called Web On Call
to my colleague Marty Crouch who's a web wizard.
The key to WebOnCall (now called
WebValance.com) is that Marty offers interactive websites
(ordering forms, surveys, assessment tests, etc.)
Marty Crouch and I worked on something called
which is a way for folks to take online
tests and get scored immediately.
Related to that is the still-in-alpha

which will be a way for coaches to keep track of the clients and
their progress...
sort of a like a web-based ACT program, customized to meet the
need of coaches.
Also, in alpha, but progressing slowly is
the project to develop 1,000

which are a 2-page summary of what to look/listen for, and include
coaching strategies.
I also created a site where coaches and
other experts
can list their TeleClasses for free, called

TeleUniversity has really worked well and I am very pleased with
it.
It was purchased by Coach University in the Fall of 1997 and it
merged with TeleClass.com in April 1999.
I began working on

in 1988,
which offers a 2-year training program for professionals
who wish
to become personal or business coaches.
Nearly 5,000 students and graduates already. Wow.
I sold Coach U to Sandy Vilas in the summer of 1996.
From Feb-June 1997, I was in London,
England,
opening up the International side of Coach U.
A full page story in The Times sure helped!
Coach U is currently in 37
countries.
Coach U has also established local
chapters worldwide as
well,
about 125 at this point.
I helped to create Coach
University's
designation
and examination.
![]()
In 1994, I founded/funded the

which now has nearly 3,000 members.
A book that I'm especially proud of is
called
.
The Distinctionary has recently become a
co-creative project thanks to the efforts
of
who turned it into a Website
that anyone can add their ideas to existing distinctions or even add
their own.
Along that same line, I have enjoyed another co-created project called the

where I and other writers have packaged
information,
advice and wisdom in the format of easy-to-find-and-use Top 10
Lists.
The 1000+ lists have been accessed over 1,000,000 times
and
50,000 people a day receive an email broadcast containing one of
the Top 10 Lists or other nugget from Coach University.
Coach University purchased this site and contents in September
1997.
Other books that I've written and
illustrated include the
,
,
,
and the 1000-page collection of the 36 Module Workbooks of the Coach Training Program.
I used to lead live workshops, such as the
,
and the
,
but I mostly lead TeleClasses now -- too much anxiety leading live
workshops, and heck, I'm retired, so why push it?!
In early 1996, the media discovered Coach
University and I got to be
on the major TV networks and large daily newspapers, Donahue
and
received coverage in a number of other countries.
It was fun, but I'm over it!
Over 250 stories worldwide were published
from February 1996 to December 1999.
Wow. And, they continue!
You can get samples of these via autoresponder at articles@coachu.com.
I like to create visual stuff when I have a
moment,
like advertisements for the coaching process like these
and
and lots of logos like this one:

and

And, I've eventually get around to several
more interesting projects.
One is the
,
where students play around
with the notion of memes (which are like genes, but actually are
ideas that replicate and mutate on their own);
the other is the
,
where anyone can find out every aspect of themselves and their
business.
Kinda like a self-assessment, self-discovery and problem-sourcing Website.
Both of these projects are the next generation of my work.
The work I do and the projects with which I am part of couldn't
happen
without the hundreds of coaches at Coach U, my personal R&D
Team, and the
tens of thousands of subscribers of my various
e-broadcasts
who are FULL of wonderful of ideas which they generously
share.
Well, there's the cyber monument to myself.
Seriously, part of the reason why I created this Project
Page
just to sort out the projects I was working on.
Ideas seem to find me with such velocity that I am
defenseless.
Thanks for stopping by.
